Welcome to Unscripted Strength, our podcast where we ramble on for an hour each episode about all things training, life, and coaching.
Day and Ethan are two performance coaches who started Unscripted Strength in 2025. We met while working together at Block Fitness in Oro Valley, Arizona. We would go on long talks about performance, training, and life. Eventually, we thought “we should just record this for fun”. So we did!
Our podcast gives us a platform to just talk and share our thoughts on a wide range of topics. It’s something we have fun doing and we’re lucky enough to have had great guests join us on a few episodes to share their expertise.

dAYANNARA (dAY) mUÑOZ
Day is a nerd who masks herself as a performance coach, sport scientist, and exercise physiology researcher. In those roles she dedicates herself to helping athletes maximize their potential through evidence-based training and coaching.
Day’s got a background in chemical engineering, but pivoted into human performance after her military career. After graduating from college, she went straight into the Air Force as a Logistics/Aircraft Maintenance Officer. During her time, she coached part-time in the private sector. After the Air Force, she joined the staff at the University of Arizona where she coached Swim, Drive, Triathlon, and Golf. Currently, she is finishing up her Physiology PhD where her research centers around Exercise Immunology (how exercise impacts the immune system and neuroendocrine responses). She also coaches elite endurance athletes and does a lot of sport science stuff.
